Automated Test Stations

Embedded systems span all aspects of modern life and there are many examples of their use. From telecommunications and automotive systems to aerospace and military applications, embedded systems are continually becoming more and more complex and require more sophisticated and cost effective testing systems.

We understand the importance of automating testing during the product development process. We specialize in designing test equipment early in the life cycle allowing the design and development talent to stay busy and ensuring the final verification of the unit under test (UUT).

TES develops automated testing tools and processes to support the development and verification for a variety of embedded systems and industries. TES uses off-the-shelf equipment from all the major manufactures of test electronics including National Instruments. Combined with our expertise with scripting languages and test harness development, we develop efficient and effective testing environments for software verification, software Formal Qualification Testing (FQT), and hardware Acceptance Test Plan (ATP).

System Simulation

TES developed an Operational Flight Program (OFP) simulator for our Emergency Oxygen Control System for host-based testing called the TES OFP Test Simulator (TOTS). Our verification tools have a distinct advantage in that our test scripts can be exercised in both the hardware and simulator environments without change.

Production Test Equipment

TES developed a production test station used during manufacturing. TES was tasked to develop the test station within 3 months to automate the manual test procedures for a processor circuit card. The original test procedures were very labor intensive and were keeping the program from meeting its deliveries. Once our test station was completed, testing was reduced from 2 hours to 5 minutes and allowed the customer to meet their production goals.
