Environment:
Embedded Controls are continually becoming more and more complex, and testing those systems too.
Challenge:
The challenge is having to develop test equipment while design and development talent is busy.
Solution:
In addition to developing the software, Tucson Embedded Systems (TES) develops the tools and processes to support the development and verification. We have a product line of automated test equipment for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing called the Programmable Control Test System (PCTS), which uses our product line of automated test software called the Generic Target Test System (GTTS), which can run on PCTS, or depending on the target hardware requirements, can simply be run on a PC laptop. The PCTS and GTTS product line are often used for software verification, software Formal Qualification Testing (FQT), and hardware Acceptance Test Plan (ATP). Recently, we have developed an Operational Flight Program (OFP) simulator for our Emergency Oxygen Control System for host-based testing called the TES OFP Test Simulator (TOTS). Our verification tools have a distinct advantage in that our test scripts can be exercised in both the hardware and simulator environments without change.

Capabilities:
TES can analyze the embedded computer under test, design test equipment, build to print, manufacture, verify, write the test cases and procedures, perform the qualification, and sell-off the equipment.
