Simple Key Loader (SKL) version AN/PYQ-10 is a prevalent electronic module used to load cryptographic keys into electronic encryption machines within the Department of Defense (DoD). Fill devices like the SKL are usually hand held and battery operated and communicate using the DS101 protocol.

Tucson Embedded Systems has developed a PC application to download keys from the SKL in binary form using the serial protocol DS-101 over the 6-pin connector.

The Army is increasingly using the SKL to manage their encryption key inventory.  Having a convenient PC application to download and verify keys or transfer to another fill device is cost effective and convenient.
